Installing Windows XP on Toshiba Satellite laptops

Question:

I have just got a Satellite Pro A300-BZ1 with VISTA pre installed.
I need to install XP Pro on it, but when I start the XP Pro installation from the CD, it says that it cannot find any hard disks.

Is anybody there who can help me?

Answer:

Change the SATA configuration in the BIOS to SATA "Compatibility" Mode.

Otherwise you need an F6 SATA Driver and a USB Floppy Disk (For XP).

Or try a different Linux Distribution.
